An Insurance Survey is to assess the structural and material condition of the vessel in relation to the vessel’s age and usage.
More Insurers are now asking for surveys prior to offering cover and the survey report is restricted to items which should be addressed before the vessel is used and/or which may affect insurability and those items which should be addressed in the near future to prevent future problems.
This is useful for you too, the boat owner, because we frequently come across issues that are developing and this gives you the opportunity to fix them before they become worse – and more expensive.
